Festive fun and a fond farewell

It may have been wet and windy but close to three dozen people turned up to Tuesday’s Christmas meeting and it was great to see more new faces among those now so familiar.

The jumpers, hats and tinsel, as well as all the snacks, added to the festive occasion and the Christmas-themed IBD quiz was contested in good spirit.

The meeting was also a perfect occasion to say farewell and good luck to Bev who has pushed for our group to grow and become more autonomous – I think she leaves it in safe hands – and, as Jane mentioned in her speech, if it hadn’t been for her persistence none of us would have been there on the night.

We all wish Bev well and hope she keeps in contact.
