UPDATE FOR INFUSIONS

As Dr Wu promised, she has sent the following update with information for those who receive infusions.

I said I would update you after our meeting regarding the infusions unit Following this, I have managed to move the infusions unit (from G7) to the physiotherapy gym, and this I am informed today, has already taken effect. This will enable safe distancing and allow 4 chairs in a large clinical area with windows for ventilation. Temperature checks should be occurring on arrival to the unit as standard and I have asked our IBD coordinator (Tracey) to contact  patients in advance of their scheduled infusion to ensure they are not showing any potential symptoms of COVID-19, which would obviously require postponement of their infusion.  I am also working with infection control to try and enhance procedures in the unit and will update up of any developments in this as and when there is any. I hope this provides some reassurance to our IBD patients.
